Dust Collectors

The electric fans are devices which, by means of a rotating system, commonly known as a “fan” or “impeller”, transmit an increase in pressure to the fluid passing through them. The electric fans, mainly used in the pneumatic suction and transport sector, are centrifugal.

ELECTRIC FANS FOR PLANTS WORKING IN DEPRESSION

We have a wide range of centrifugal electric fans, specific for vacuum operation with backward blade steel impeller, high efficiency, statically and dynamically balanced.

We also use a series of conveying material electro-fan:

Centrifugal electric fans, specific for the transport of solid materials mixed with air, with very thick steel impeller with backward blades, high efficiency.

Specific centrifugal fans for the transport of solid or filamentary materials mixed with air with high thickness steel impeller with open blades, statically and dynamically balanced.

The Suction Arms proposed by us are suitable for different types of pollutants and applications. They are of different shapes, materials and sizes and have a self-supporting pantograph structure external to the arm itself and therefore dust-free. They are made of light alloy with balancing springs and clutches on the joints Compared to common arms with internal structure, they offer:
Greater handling, support and stiffness;
Less air noise and lower pressure drops;
No risk of wear, hardening or blocking of the structure as it is not hit by fumes;
We also offer movable arms with a diameter of Ø = 160 mm, in the high temperature version up to T = 300 ° C, contact parts in AISI 316 stainless steel, with double pantograph bearing structure external to the arm, complete with swiveling cap in AISI 316 stainless steel, adjustment valve in AISI 316 stainless steel and fixing bracket;

Integrated suction bench suitable for the suction and filtration of fine dust emitted by sanding/polishing operations. The supporting structure is made of thick painted steel sheet. Suction working surface is made up of removable galvanized steel sheet profiles capable of withstanding high loads. The profiles and the internal structure of the bench have been suitably designed and sized to distribute the suction flow evenly over the entire surface.

In addition to standard size, IMAS AEROMECCANICA can realize boxes of any size and equipped with several systems, to facilitate any type of working (for example suction gratings, rails for pieces transport, upper openings for overhead travelling crane, etc….). In case of being equipped with sliding doors, the box is provided also with an anti-panic door/s to ensure a safe exit to the operators in case of danger

Ducting

All the components for the construction of the suction ducts built within the IMAS AEROMECCANICA factory are made from exclusively first choice galvanized sheet coils; in conventional thicknesses with a minimum of 7/10 mm for the smallest diameters, and then pass to 8/10 and 10/10. They are processed in-house on an automatic coils flattening and cutting line.Tthe linear pipes undergo a process of calendering, joining of the two edges with crimping (external, to keep the pipe smooth internally), intermediate reinforcement edging and cuff for joint.

The elbows, made with 6 or more sectors, are plasma cut with nesting system, calendered, pointed, edged and assembled manually. It is the same procedureused for hoppers, fittings and special pieces, for branches and for the most important components. On request, all ducts and components (Pipes, Bends, Monolithic Branches, Collectors, Hoppers, Duct rain cap, Joint Rings, Flanges, Shutters, Manual Valves, Fire Safety Valves and Non-Return Valves, etc.) can be supplied painted.

CMA

Self-supporting chimneys suitable for expelling the previously treated air into the atmosphere, with the possibility of conveying the delivery of other two fans. The chimney is supplied complete with numerical verifications of the tensional state of the limbs and of the sheets constituting the chimney itself, carried out in static, seismic condition and under the effect of the wind, as prescribed by the DM. 17 January 2018 (Technical Standards for Construction).

Among the Components and Accessories that characterize a Collection and Filtration Plant, IMAS AEROMECCANICA Srl stands out for the different types of Suction Hoods that it designs and builds within its Plant and that installs in the companies that carry out different types of processing. We have Telescopic Hoods, Hoods with Strips, Polygonal Hoods, Push and Pull Hoods, Hoods for Melting Furnaces, Hoods for Welding Robots, Hoods for Rubber Vulcanization Furnaces, Hoods for Die Casting Plants, Hoods for Typographies, Hoods for Milling Plants, Hoods for Plants Working with Fumes, Hoods for Food Plants, Hoods for Mechanics and metal finishing in general, etc.

The cyclones or centrifugal IMAS AEROMECCANICA separators allow the purification of air or a gas from the powder using the principle of centrifugal force. The cyclones are applied when the air to be treated has a concentration of particles extremely high or when they must be removed coarse dusts, which may then penalize the most delicate filtering units

Depending on the application and the materials to be processed, we produce centrifugal separators made in different materials and with anti-wear coating for very abrasive dusts.

Working principle: the air enters tangentially in the upper part of the cyclone and assumes an helical movement flowing down to the bottom end before exiting in a straight stream through the center of the cyclone (waste part) and out on the top (air). Due to the centrifugal force, the solid particles present in the rotating stream have too much inertia to follow the tight curve of the flow and strike the outside wall, then falling to the bottom side of the cyclone, where they can be collected in a specific bin or removed by different appropriate systems.

ADVANTAGES

  • The cyclones or cyclonic dust collectors remove dust particles from air or gas stream without the use of filtering medias, just using the centrifugal force.
    The cyclones are used in case of very high concentration of big particles in the air to be treated or in case of coarse dusts which may damage the most delicate filter devices as cartridges.
  • Simplified maintenance due to the lack of moving parts
  • Simplicity in the dust recovery
  • Limited space needed for the installation
  • Low costs of implementation and use
  • Possibility to work with high temperature fumes
  • Possibility to work with wet fumes
  • Good operational flexibility

The low efficiency for fine particles is one of the main disadvantages, which downgrades this device as a pre-treatment, upstream of more efficient and more expensive separation systems.

APPLICATIONS

Cyclones can be used in processings that generate dusts with rough grain size and high concentration, like primary wood workings (sawmill) for the removal of saw from the air stream, metal workings, rubber and plastic workings, mixing, weighing and packaging of dusty materials, sand blasting, lapping, material cut, metal casting and solid burning, mechanical workings, refinery, cement industries, etc…

OPTIONS / ACCESSORIES

  • Increase kit with legs
  • Rotary valves
  • Mobile collecting bin 75 liters

Its use is mainly as a prefilter to reduce the dust load to the final filter (sleeves, cartridge, …).
The sectors of application are: wood industry, metal and plastic processing and transformation, paper industry, food, etc …
The pollutants are obviously wood dust and shavings, metal dust and scraps, plastic, etc …
Working principle: the solid particles present in the stream, as a result of the centrifugal force, tend to assume a radial direction, meeting the internal walls of the cyclone and thus obtaining a slowing of the flow which favors their separation from the air. At the bottom, the air is separated from the dust going up the cyclone in a helical movement and comes out from the top. The particles are collected on the bottom, from which they can be dropped into a special container or extracted with different and appropriate systems. There is also the possibility to install a rotary valve for connecting the dust collection hopper to the existing pneumatic transfer circuit.

Screw conveyor

The screw conveyors are used for the transport of granular or powdery materials. Their functioning is based on the principle of the Archimedean screw. They consist of a screw with progressive pitch for the transport of the material through a tube. This fully enclosed permits the construction of a transport without dispersion and protected from the weather.

A crucial aspect to which IMAS AEROMECCANICA Srl has paid much attention concerns the Safety Systems of the proposed plants: All the products are guaranteed and certified in compliance with the applicable Technical Directives (DIR 2006/42 / CE, DIR 2014/34 / UE, DIR 2014/30 / UE, etc.) and are manufactured with controlled and traceable processing and materials in every production step. IMAS AEROMECCANICA Srl manufacture internally Diverters and Panels for venting explosions, working under quality control, so that plants are equipped with ATEX protection devices certified with EC Type Examination Certificate nr. EUM1-10-ATEX-0298.

Blowing blade

The suction walls have to be placed on the wall or on benches and are suitable for the collection of pollutants of various kinds. They have a section in the shape of a rectangular triangle with the lower base upwards. The suction surface located on the sloping front wall, is made up of rectangular profiles whose ends are welded inside the body at appropriate distances, with the slots sized for the desired air flow and a speed calculated on the entire surface of about 0.5 m/s.

When we talk about sound-absorbing suction walls, we are talking about the supply of a series of walls, composed of modules of 1 m for a total length that varies according to the need. The walls consist of modular suction sections that can be activated or excluded by the operator through appropriate valves.
The suction front may eventually be equipped with sound-absorbing partitions to be positioned according to needs, so as to be able to create flexible workstations.
The suction walls will be connected to the filtering substations through a system of down conductors (single or multiple)
The purification will then be entrusted to cartridge dust collectors, operating in depression, with automatic cleaning of the filter media by jets of compressed air in countercurrent. The filtering systems will be put in depression by aspirators equipped with suitable chimneys.
We also foresee the variable with suction grill mod. PFG

The IMAS Control Panel is a control panel capable of managing all the devices present in an extraction system.
The control panel has a lithographed control front, placed on a box painted with epoxy powders. On the left side of the group there is the display with the buttons to directly control up to 2 main electric fans and a chain of auxiliary motors, while on the right side there are the buttons that allow access to the various PLC functions.
Actually, this control panel is equipped, as standard, with PLC programmed to manage, in addition to the electric fans via direct or star-delta starter, any groups, such as the rotary valve, the level indicators, the drains into containers and/or the combustion chamber, filter cleaning systems, and the general, thermal alarms and those coming from the differential pressure switch, the spark detector, the thermo-speedometer or the dust leak detector.
The control panel is supplied with diagrams, with specific CE conformity certification

The heat exchanger is a device that realizes a thermal energy exchange between two fluids at different temperatures. They are typically used to reduce the temperature of the inlet gaseous flow into the filter so not to use special materials resistant to high temperatures

HEAT RECOVERY UNIT

REM – Heat recovery system from the air extracted from the suction system, made by means of a cross-flow exchanger equipped with an aluminum exchange battery pack, which, crossed by the warmer air flow, coming from the suction unit of the system, subtracts the heat to transfer it to the inlet flow through the second aspirator. The air expelled through the chimney and the fresh air never come into contact with each other. The efficiency can reach over 60%, a value that allows a valid recovery of thermal energy for industrial technological systems, which are not part of civil systems for which a minimum efficiency of 70% is required (EN13141-7 / 2010).

Reintegration of the filtered air

TER

Thermoventilating units for heat-exchange recovery with air/water battery with suitable electric fan built into an insulated and soundproof structure.

The air sucked in by the system can be reintegrated through an appropriate circuit consisting of the rigid galvanized return pipe, the Thermo-ventilating air treatment unit and the plenums with very high efficiency filters; Through this circuit, air free of dust and pollen will be reintroduced into the painting room, at the optimum temperature for the processing of the products and for the comfort of the operators.
The Air Treatment Unit is a compact group consisting of a suitable centrifugal fan and an air/water heat exchange battery, whose connection to the hot water circuit will be at your care.
The air sucked in by the system can be partially reintroduced into the shed through an appropriate reintegration circuit, consisting of rigid galvanized tubing with a rectangular section, a low energy consumption electric fan and diffuser plenums with very high efficiency filters; Due to this circuit, the air free of dust and pollen will be reintroduced into the shed, limiting the phenomenon of natural reintegration which can bring dusty air into the working space and cause distrurbs to the operators.
