The briquetting presses are machines that, through a simple mechanical or hydraulic process, transform the sawdust in briquette by subjecting it to a very high pressure, without the addition of binders and chemical additives.
The briquette production is useful to get a remarkable reduction of volume and is a good source of heating. In fact they represent a valid alternative to the traditional heating fuels and an exceptional technology, because they allow to concentrate high energetic reserves in a reduced volume.

The briquettes, because of their natural characteristics, produce little smoke and thanks to their high density and low moisture content (less than the firewood) they burn more slowly and almost completely with a low post-combustion residual and consequently cleaner boilers.

Its usage is mainly as a prefilter to reduce the dust load to the final filter (sleeves, cartridge, …).
The sectors of application are: wood industry, metal and plastic processing and transformation, paper industry, food, etc …
The pollutants are obviously wood dust and shavings, metal dust and scraps, plastic, etc …
Operating technique: the solid particles present in the stream, as a result of the centrifugal force, tend to assume a radial direction, meeting the internal walls of the cyclone and thus obtaining a slowing down of the fluid vein which favors its separation from the air. At the bottom, the air is separated from the dust going up the cyclone in a narrower spiral and comes out from the top. The particles are collected on the bottom, from which they can be dropped into a special wheeled container or extracted with different and appropriate systems. There is also the possibility to install a rotary valve in order to connect the dust collection hopper to the pneumatic transfer circuit.

Among the systems for the reintroduction of air in the workplace, certainly the PLENUM are the masters. These are return air diffusers with filters having an efficiency F9 (EN779) class and H11 (EN1822) Class. The plenums are supplied complete with differential pressure switch with LED indicator for clogged filters alarm with battery power supply.

The IMAS AEROMECCANICA silencers are devices suitable to reduce the noises level produced and/or transmitted by the gas streams (air and/or exhausting gases) and they can be installed along the ducts of the suction plant. These are systems that allows a remarkable acoustic reduction thanks to the breaking of the sound waves.
Type of silencers: rectangular or circular
Rectangular silencer – Normally installed on the outlet mouth of the electro-fan is made of galvanized sheet with rectangular baffles section. Every baffle is made of N.2 preformed walls and the insulating material is a fibrous basis of nature textile.
Circular silencer – It can be installed along the suction pipings or on the exhausting chimney. It’s made by an external cylinder and an inner perforated cylinder. The interspace between the two cylinders contains a layer of high density mineral wool covered by a glass veil to avoid the risk of removal of sound absorbing material in presence of high air speed.

CFA Sound-proof cabin

Specially designed to minimize the noise of the aspirators, it reduces noise pollution thanks to the considerable sound-absorbing and sound-insulating mass placed inside. The attenuation of the sound level of the aspirator/motor unit is ~ 8 ÷ 10 dBA. It is built according to the size and orientation of the extractor.

SCS – SC Circular Silencers

Highly efficient, suitable for reducing noise along the air ducts or at emission points into the atmosphere, suitable for clean air. It is composed of an external cylinder in hot dip galvanized steel sheet.

It is uitable to reduce the noise along the air ducts on the intake side, especially in the presence of transport materials such as dust, wood chips, etc. It is composed of an external cylinder with a larger section than the diameter of the pipe itself and an internal crown cylinder, made entirely of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet.

SAR – High performance silencer

It is used to reduce noise along the ducts and the best result is obtained by connecting it directly to the suction mouth of the extractor, or better coupled to the vent of the sound-absorbing cabin of the fan. It is suitable for clean or slightly dusty or humid air.

Rotary valve

The rotary valve is a discharge device which has the function of being able to transfer the material between two zones of different pressure. It is constituted essentially by a metallic outer housing and a rotor vane coupled to a motor. The terminal of the rotor is provided with rubber blades to make the seal. The rotary valves are used in air suction systems so that it is possible to perform the discharge of the material even with the fan is running, eliminating the problem of dispersion of the powder during such operation
